You are a lineage, not a single fly. Gather food and energy → lay eggs automatically;
the predator commits to a ballistic strike. When the GF reflex lights up READY,
press Space to jump clear. Your offspring inherit mutations across generations.

There is no one-time victory: build the lineage, outproduce the wild type, and improve your record.
Food has three risk levels: sugar +12 (safe) · yeast +26
(on the rim, predator risk) · rot +38 (odor exposed for 6 seconds, attracting the predator).
Quick guide
Move toward food to restore energy. High energy lays eggs automatically, so balance feeding with escape timing.
Each generation lasts up to 50 seconds. It ends when your energy reaches zero, the predator kills you, or you survive the full 50 seconds.
At the end, compare your eggs with the wild type, choose one mutation in the Mutation Draft, and continue into the next generation. Death ends a generation, not the lineage.
